    I made this back in 2008 when I started knitting again after a lengthy pause. I found this yarn in a local shop and liked the colour - it's 100% wool, but was rather inexpensive and I don't even remember the brand. I bought a fair amount on impulse and looked on the internet for a pattern inspiration. I wanted something warm yet feminine, and this lacy shawl was exactly what I was looking for. Before my shawl was even finished, my girls ( then 12 and 6 ) decided that they needed one, too, in exactly the same colour....I ended up knitting three identical shawls, a whopping five and a half meters in total -believe me, I could knit this pattern in my sleep!
    Eight years on, all three shawls are still loved and very much in use.
