Slip the first stitch knit wise slip second stitch purl wise Then slip those two stiches back to your left needle and then knit the two together

Wow I did it. I posted for you the correct written pattern and a sample knit. I used larger yarn and needles. As you can see I did not knit the first four rows , for test purposes it was unnecessary knitting lol. I hope you all give my written directions a try and hope you have success now. Happy knitting

Ok so I posted the pic with corrections. Just like all of you I have spent countless hours knitting and unknitting lol I learned how to read charts a few months ago. I did not give up the written directions need a few more changes I am have way thru them now. I should have the revised and correct written directions by end of day. I love this pattern that’s why I didn’t give up.

To be honest, I gave up. It would have been easier, if the number of stitches on each row had been provided in the directions.

Hi Margaret, Thanks for the response. I almost gave up.Indeed the instructions are wrong. I have to re write it with stich count of each row. normal 43 is increased to 49 during ROW 1. ROW 2 has 49 too. But during ROW 3 it is reduced back to 43. Life would have been easier if this was mentioned. This is my first few experience using patterns on web & tutorials on YUTUBE. I am amazed wrong instructions are uploaded most of the time. I wasted a whole square trying and rewriting.
