This is my first mystery knit-along, and I super enjoyed it! I find knitting very therapeutic and relaxing, so I try to use the best quality of yarn I can find. I have several health issues, including Crohn's disease, and a chronic pain disorder. I tend to bring my knitting with me everywhere I go, and I find it's great for pain management. I can be in intense pain, but within five minutes of knitting, the pain has retreated to a back corner of my brain. I also have very limited energy, and knitting is something I can do when I'm too tired for pretty much anything else, and it makes me still feel productive on a day when just dressing myself and making food are a challenge. I have struggled with depression and stress in the past, and knitting has given me back my life in a very real way. This particular project was knitted during a very stressful time, and helped me get through some tough stuff.

  I love the colors you chose for this Building Blocks shawl.
  I am truly sorry for all the pain and suffering you have and are experiencing. Knitting also takes away my sadness and makes me feel alive. Please continue sharing your projects and ideas with us. I love them.
