        Hi Alyson
        So sorry for the late reply, I only just saw this.
        I adapted this pattern into a hat using circular kneedles and repeating the heart twice in the round: https://blog.weareknitters.com/type-stitches/knit-cabled-heart/

      This was my first time knitting a cable knit style. You can see I made a small mistake on the bottom right at my first cable, but other than that it was easy and fast learning ! I used a little extra wool for the giant Pom Pom, but a normal Pom pom + the hat would only require one skein :)
