      Dear Caroline

I love this pattern! Thank you! A few comments/questions which I hope you can help me with!

      A) I have finished Size 6 months for my niece - pattern perfect, however I believe that for the rib section after the cast on, you don’t need the P2 before the repeat. I just purled the purls and knitted the knits and that worked out ok with the stitch count.

      B) I now want to knit the size for 24 months for my nephew! Just want to check the number of stocking stitch rows after the cast on for the front section. It seems odd to me that you need 8 rows for size 18mos but 6 for size 24mos? I’m not being critical, just want to get it right first time :)

Great pattern though, and the yarn recommendations are amazing :)

      Thanks,

      Sarah

        Hi Sarah,

I just had a quick glance at the pattern, and for you are right, there is a P2, too much for the 6 month old pattern.

For your second question, there are extra rows being knitted for size 4 and 5 further down in the pattern. I believe I added the difference in rows at the beginning to get the bobbles in good placements on the different sizes.

I hope that helps. Please do let me know if you have any other questions or comments.

        Thanks,
        Caroline

@Caroline O: Thanks so much! I’ve still only been knitting just over a year so find it hard questioning patterns in case I’m being silly! The 6month version is gorgeous, will post pics after Christmas as it’s a gift. Cracking on with the 2y now thanks to your advice. You should write more patterns, you’re very good at it!! All the best, Sarah :)

@Anne L: Hi Anne, just to give you an update. I have almost finished the pattern for 12 months, so just need to resize the pattern. I will hopefully have it done this weekend. Caroline

@Anne L: Hi Anne, I have finished the pattern and uploaded it on Loveknitting, however it looks like it may take up to 5 days for it to be approved. If you would like it before I can email it to you, just send over your email. If not, I will let you know once it's live. Also, please note that I have only test knitted the size 12 months, so I hope the resizing is correct. This also means that I'm not sure how much yarn will be needed for the larger sizes, but I would guess about 3-4 balls in (A) the lighter colour in my picture, and 2-3 balls in (B) the darker colour in my pictures.
