    About

I just learned how to crochet off of youtube last summer. @ 58 time to learn something new. Did a lot of stuff for Christmas gifts but after the holidays I wanted to make something for myself... this is it. I love it and want to wear it every day. I find that crochet can be very forgiving. If I had dropped stitches somewhere in the middle and just increased to get back where I should have been.

    Double Crochet 2 rectangles 18” X 38”
Do HDC around the neck hole till you like the fit.
Go once around the outer edge with a SC, then do Cathedral Edging around the outside edge. I found this very forgiving in that I really did not count the stitches so when I got MOST of the way to the corner, I counted how many were left and increased or decreased by one over several “cathedrals” till they came out even. See http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/cathedral-edging for edging instructions.
