    About

She is a life-long crocheter who was taught by her grandmother but after years of not doing it, she admits she has forgotten more than just the basic stitches and has no patience for anything elaborate, lol. When she found out I had taught myself, she asked if I knew how to do boots. No but I was happy to troll youtube to find out. Instead of using any specific pattern, I learned what I needed to get started and this is the end result. She has a larger foot than I do so it's a bit floppy looking on mine but I'm happy with the trial and error I went through for this result. She is too. She didn't take them off all evening after I gave them to her (main picture is her wearing them). :)

There was no pattern I used. Since I couldn't find one I really liked, I learned how to make the sole and how to start making the foot of the boot by watching two separate videos on youtube. The stitch I used for the cuff was really for an ear warmer pattern, also on youtube. My suggestion is to look for a basic sole and watch how to build it from there. Once you do that, the cuff part can be made in any design you want. I plan on trying to make another pair with a different stitch. Deciding on another cool stitch will be the hard part. Good luck!
