    About

After many hours of happy play with their little owners, knitted dolls can look a bit pale so it's a good idea to refresh the cheek colour once in a while. I have found a red wax crayon works very well especially if it has been kept in a warm environment as this will make it slightly softer. Make downward strokes on each cheek to deposit the required amount of colour. If you are nervous about doing this then practice 'cheek making' on a small knitted sample or on the back of a doll's head before adding the hair.

Making this was great fun. I found making the soles and the hair challenging but it was worth the effort and I was really pleased with the outcome. Thanks for the tip on colouring the cheeks. I was nervous about this but it worked well.
