I wanted a simple shawl with a little bit of extra zing and found it in this pattern. Garter stitch throughout and then it does 'wham!' and you create the lacy part which can really be striking when you choose the right colour combination. My favourites in this case were deep red and grey, I felt in love with them immediately. Of course, Claudia from the Wollmeise, who does the dying, is simply a genius.
I made the shawl slightly bigger than the pattern asked for and went totally fearless thru the lace part and the maths. At the end, the result was more than satisfying. And I'm happy with the size.
