Knitting helps to keep me calm and lower my blood pressure (when I don’t drop a stitch, LOL). I needed a distraction after a cancer diagnosis, and soft warm hats ???? Now a 5 year survivor (update 1-19 as of 11/18 Cancer has metastasized to bone, but) I continue to knit and enjoy the calm. SnuggleNests are my current project for the many cats in my life (not all under my roof mind, I just have 1 cat [along w/ 1 dog, 3 Rats & 7 tiny frogs])- and nests for the Rats are next ????
My allergic to cats husband rescued a stray kitten, he has to live on our screened porch to stay safe from coyotes. We have a few cold snaps during our short winter and I wanted to help keep him warm. (Of course he is brought inside if temps dip below freezing)
He actually dislikes going 'inside' the nest to snuggle but enjoys taking his cat naps on top! Next up family's cats and my 3 pet Rats!
