Joyce, owner and master creator of The Flying Kettle hand-dyed yarns, created the colorway for this hat. I’d had the pattern in my head for some time and needed to find a yarn that fit the bill. When I saw “Tomayto Tomahto” I immediately emailed her to see if we could partner up for this project. When she said yes, I figured the only answer to a name for this hat was a nod to the creator of the beautiful yarn.
This fiber, being a single ply, makes for a light but sturdy fabric. The hat knit per pattern is less “slouched” and more “folded” to achieve the fit shown in these images.
