All of the patterns created for Adele's Legacy were written by one of our volunteers and are offered free for knitters who are making items for donation. The red stripe in the picture was created by knitting these three rows:
Row 1: Attach contrast color, *K1, Skip 1, repeat from * to end of row or round.
Row 2: knit all stitches (in contrast color), cut contrast color yarn.
Row 3: Attach main color, *Slip 1, K1, repeat from * to end of row or round.
