Adumbrate verb -to foreshadow vaguely, to disclose partially

We all know I’m a sucker for fingerless mitts (I have a whole wardrobe of them). These are quick and fun to knit, and I am pretty sure most self respecting stashes have a perfect little bit of DK weight yarn waiting around to make them. You could totally have a pair of these finished by the end of this weekend.

A little note about gauge and sizing. Because of the large pattern repeat, this mitt is best adjusted by changing your gauge (which is safe to do for something like a mitt that doesn’t see nearly the wear and tear of a sock, or have the structural demands of a sweater). When made at a gauge of 5.5 stitches per inch in stockinette, the mitt will fit a wrist or hand of 7.75”. When made at 6 stitches per inch, it will fit a wrist or hand of 7.25”. When made at 6.5 stitches per inch, it will fit a wrist or hand of 6.5”. Measure at the widest point you want the mitt to cover.
