These mitts are knit from fingers to wrist. The thumb is knit first, then the main part of the mitt, joining in the thumb at the appropriate point.
26 stitches and 36 rows = 4 inches or 10 cm in stocking stitch.
Skein Queen Voluptuous Skinny in three colours:
23 metres (25 yards) colour A (teal),
50 metres (55 yards) colour B (brown), and
83 metres (91 yards) colour C (taupe).
Or a total of 160 metres (175 yards) of any heavy sock/light sport weight yarn which knits to gauge.
