Product Details
This bag is made by crocheting directly into colourful felt squares. You could use all the same colour for a co-ordinated look or, as I have, rainbow colours for a Boho look.
Materials: Small Bag: 2x DMC Petra size 3 in Black, 10 7.5cm (3 inch) felt squares, 1 pair of black triangular handles.
Materials: Large Bag: 3x DMC Petra size 3 in Black, 20 7.5cm (3 inch) felt quares, 1 pair of long wooden handles.
Both bags can be made from a total of 4 balls of thread.
The felt squares I used are hand made and quite thick. You could either make your own or use commercially available felt.
Equipment; 2.50mm hook, 1.50mm hook, awl or needle for making holes, needle for sewing in ends.
Tension (UK terms): 24 dc and 30 rows to 10cm using a 2.50mm hook.It is very important that your tension is correct. Different tension will result in the crochet edging not fitting the felt squares.
This pdf contains the pattern in both UK terms and US terms. You will only need to print one version.
