Carol Feller is a knitwear designer whose gorgeous knits become wardrobe staples all over. Carol is back with another pattern to fall for, the Mossy Way jumper. Carol released the steps for this lovely knit as part of a KAL, which has now finished. However, we love this piece so much that we're leaving the steps here for you to knit your own Mossy Way jumper and join in the KAL fun. Made with beautiful The Yarn Collective Bloomsbury DK, this knit is one you’ll definitely want to add to your WIPs!
Knit the perfect jumper into your life with the Mossy Way KAL. As you move into cooler seasons, or on summer days when the sun goes down, this jumper will be your cosiest pal. The Mossy Way jumper is oversized for a relaxed fit that has just the right amount of detail. The jumper starts at the centre of the yoke and then is worked out in both directions with shaping in the ribbing. The body is then worked from the top down.
There are 6 videos to guide you through the Mossy Jumper - including tips and tricks for making easy modifications to your jumper, yippee! Let's get cracking. But first thing first, download the pattern and get the materials!

Clue 1a: Increasing in ribbing
As you work across the neck you will need to increase in pattern. Carol's given a sample chart in the pattern notes to help you out and you can also use the video where she talks through the construction.
Clue 1b: Decreasing in ribbing
Decreasing in ribbing can also be tricky and again you’ll find a sample chart showing how this looks in chart form in the pattern notes. Check out the video where she'll walk you through it step-by-step.
Clue 2: Yarn management
After this side of the yoke is finished you’ll pick up stitches along the bottom for the lower yoke. At this point you might want to think about alternating skeins so that you don’t have problems with pooling from your hand-dyed yarn.
Clue 3a: Joining for body
This clue works on the body; initially you’ll join the body in the round and then work in the round from that point to the bottom.
Clue 3b: Alternating body skeins
While you are working in the round you’ll need to alternate skeins of yarns if you are using hand-dyed yarn. This video shows a great way of doing this using helical stripes.
Clue 4: Picking up sleeve stitches
We have now come to the final clue for the KAL: the sleeves. To work the sleeves you pick up the stitches on either side of the held stitches and work from the top down. The sleeve decreases continue on from the shoulder decreases in the same location.
Woohoo - you did it! You made the Mossy Way jumper and we're so excited for you! This luxurious piece will see you through many chilly morning walks, rainy afternoons at home, and crisp evenings by the beach.
