This is a small project, quick and easy to make. Knitting skills required: knitting in rounds, increases, decreases, and basic cables.
The gloves are made totally in rounds from the palm to the arm, so you can knit up to the desired length (or until you're out of yarn). The PDF 11-page pattern booklet contains photos, charts and round-by-round instructions. Detailed step-by-step instructions are provided for the thumb opening, thumb gusset and stitch pattern. All instructions were tested.
This project is great and economical for gifts: one skein of Cascade 220 Heathers makes TWO(!) pairs og gloves (9-inch long).
For a pair of 9-inch (22cm) gloves, reaching mid-arm, you will need approximately 110 yards (50g / 100 meters) of worsted wool yarn.Merino wool is the best choice, but any soft-to-the-touch wool blend - such as Cascade 220 Heathers works well.
Needle size suggested: US 7 (4.5 mm) circular needles or double-point needles
