This is my Chunky Garter Stitch Beanie Hat knitting pattern. I chose Debbie Bliss Alpaca Silk Aran which is a luxurious yarn but you can also make it in any chunky/aran yarn of your choice. This is a simple classic design and the pattern covers sizes XS,S,M & L so can be made for anyone from babies to adults.
The sample was knit in Debbie Bliss Alpaca Silk Aran (now discontinued). A substitute yarn is shown below.
