Product Details
The large lace holes in this crescent shawl remind me of the big round rocks found in the river that runs through the tiny hamlet of Dartmeet on Dartmoor, South West England. The shaping creates gentle folds of soft fabric when worn wrapped around your neck. Short rows are worked in garter stripes and an easy lace hole pattern which is also repeated across the whole shawl. The shawl is worked from the top down with increases every other row to create the crescent shape.
Materials: Malabrigo Sock (4ply; 100% Merino Wool; 402m/440yds per 100g) x 2 skeins. Shown in shade: 870 Cadombe x 1 skein & 037 Lettuce x 1 skein 4mm (UK 8/US 6) circular needles, 80cm (32in) and 120cm (48in) length

Size: Inner crescent: 225cm/88½in Outer crescent: 480cm/190in Depth: 45cm/17¾in
Tension: 15 sts and 28 rows over 10cm/4in in garter stitch.
