This pattern is also available as part of [My Basic Collection - Book 1]: an Eco-friendly e-book with 5 patterns (Mimo, Poveira, Afago, Equinócio and Eira).
Eira is a seamless shawl knitted bottom-up with a beautiful lace stitch easily memorizable. The stockinette section is worked with shortened rows creating its crescent shape. Eyelets were added for the cast on and the bind-off edge both to decorate and prevent the shawl from curling.
This is one skein project – I’ve knitted it with less than 1 skein of Malabrigo sock.
More informationPattern Style: Full – written instructions and charts are given for the lace section, line by line written instructions for the short row section. I think you’ll enjoy the Eco-friendly format of this pattern as well.
Pattern Difficulty: Intermediate - skills required: knitted cast on, knit, purl, yarn over, single and double decrease, short rows (I use a very simple method without wrapping the sts), bind-off.
