Faultline combines all my favourite elements in a shawl :- squishy garter stitch, knit sideways, a shallow shawlette shape that wraps enough so you can wear it as a scarf, and an easy to memorize lace. It is also fully reversible for maximum versatility.
Faultline is a very quick, easy and unfussy knit that perfectly shows off that special handdyed yarn.
This design will work in any 4ply/fingering yarn and is easily adapted for other yarn weights. Pattern includes variations to make this a triangle shawl or scarf.
Lace edging is charted and written.
This pattern is named for the devastating earthquake which struck Christchurch, New Zealand in 2011.
