A stockinette and garter shawl in two colors, Fossgate uses a simple lace pattern to create a chevron effect. It takes one ball each of two colors of [Debbie Bliss Fine Donegal], or approximately 400 yards of each color for substitutes.
The center stitches are a floating slipped stitch cable that can easily be done without a cable needle, moving only one stitch at a time.
There are three charts for this shawl as well as fully written instructions. The lace is very, very simple and the full repeat is very easy to memorize, but I have provided line by line instructions for each of the charts.
