I know foxes aren’t native to Shetland but if there’s one thing I love more than stranded colourwork, it’s foxes! I designed this hat on scraps of paper on the ferry home from my trip to Shetland, and knitted it using yarn I’d bought just hours before in the Jamieson’s of Shetland shop in Lerwick. It’s knitted in DK weight yarn rather than the 4-ply I’ve used for most of the rest of the collection, so it’s definitely a quicker knit.

- You can also use a circular needle for the body of the hat if you prefer. You will need a 40cm long 4mm needle.
