(Free) Carnival Josy
(Definition: Josy is an abbreviation of ‘jar cosy’!)
This is made using leftover yarn (from my Carnival Heart Pillow pattern) and consists of UK double crochet [US sc] and UK trebles [US dc]. I think by alternating these stitches it gives a fun textured finish, and using two different types of yarn (one for each section) really makes the colours stand out from each other even though they both have very similar shades of orange. This josy is fun and simple to make, you just need to know how to crochet in the round. Although there is a small decrease in the centre to match the curve in the jar you can continue to work in straight stitches so that the josy is straight in the centre.
This pattern is written in both UK and [US] terminology. The US terms are in [square parenthesis].
Working in the round is required for this pattern.
I hope this brings you creative joy and inspiration. Let's get yarning!
