Product Details
A simple design to show off a magic yarn (it seems to beckon John Bauer's fairies and princesses).
The shape and construction imitate my Ifigenia, but unlike the more intricate Ifigenia, this is truly straightforward and simple.
- simple pattern (written and with illustrative charts)
- knit in 6 wedges + 1/2 another wedge
- picot cast-on & bind-off (optional)
- short rows - each wedge gets smaller for each two rows, which means the knitting speeds up as you go
- the lace mesh is a 4-stitch repeat over 8 rows - but really only 2 rows because it’s the same 2 rows staggered
the simple edging is knit along with the shawl as you go
Faery Wings, is listed as a 4ply, but is more of a sport weight yarn - I have not yet tried the pattern with a lighter yarn nor experimented with casting on
