This design, while remaining simple even for beginners, introduces a cabled brim with a buttonhole and seven pointed star of decreases on the crown.
This sweet and sassy beret will keep you toasty in cold weather. Lusciously soft super bulky yarn and thick needles will help you make this hat in 1-2 hours flat.
Skill level: beginner to intermediate
Finished dimensions: sized for women (head circumference about 22 inches).
Yarn: super bulky weight yarn (about 5 oz). I used Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick&Quick
Needles: double point needles and 16" circular needle size 10mm/US 15 or size to obtain gauge.
Other materials: tapestry needle, 2 (1 1/8") buttons
Gauge: 10 st and 12 rows = 4" (stockinette stitch)
