Lichen & Moss shawl
This highly textured shawl was inspired by the many lichens and mosses that grow in Wales. Lichen stitch is paired with moss stitch bands, which are accentuated by reverse stocking stitch. These contrast with the wide central garter stitch panel. It is worked top down and is an interesting, yet easy knit for the advanced beginner. A versatile shawl in 2 sizes, that can be worked in a variety of yarns from 4ply (fingering) through to worsted (aran) weight.
Fingering (4ply) weight yarn: Medium: approx. 400 - 425 yd (366 - 389 m); Large: approx. 840 - 870 yd (768 - 796 m). Main photo shows Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light, Silver Fox.
