Many of my designs are influence by music. BrunuhVille is a Portuguese composer who, according to his site, "creates a world of magic and fantasy between the fusion of Gothic, orchestral, Celtic, folk, movie, ethnic and world music." The intricately melodic tunes from his "Tales from the Lost Kingdom" have inspired the Lost Kingdom series of designs.
These fingerless gloves are knit in the round beginning at the cuff. The mirrored cable panels which are positioned toward the outer edge of each glove flow from ribbing at the cuff while the remainder of the cuff edging is worked in Garter stitch. The mirroring is achieved by beginning the cable pattern at different points for each glove. Stitches outside the cable panels are worked in Stockinette stitch. Stitch numbers are decreased slightly at the top as the gloves end in 2 x 2 ribbing. Thumbs are worked in Stockinette stitch and end in ribbing as well.
