It looks complicated, but it really isn't. This shawl is worked from side to side, starting at the small point and growing towards a long, swooping bind-off. Believe it or not the stitch pattern is 4 stitches wide and 4 rows long. By working the pattern in stripes and shifting which color is on which two rows you create two very different looks - producing the wide stripes that you see.

The shape is a cross between a deep crescent and an asymmetrical triangle which provides a large variety of styling options. Worked in a delicious blend of Merino, Yak and Silk it is warm enough for the fall but quite lightweight.

Due to the side to side nature of the pattern it can be easily adjusted in size and if you are feeling creative you can dabble with changing up the width of the stripes once you understand the pattern. Difficulty wise it is mostly simple lace techniques with one fancy increase that quickly becomes old hat once you have worked it a couple of times. Adventurous beginners s
