This shawl is a variation based on the popular Color Craving design from the Westknits Mystery Shawl KAL 2013. Two sections use yarn over shaping to give the illusion of short rows. A diamond shape is formed while being attached to the matching striped shapes. Afterward, more stripes and yarn over shaping create a large border around the entire perimeter. A picot bind off finishes the unique elongated shape.
Sample is shown in: (blue/purple version) Rowan Fine Tweed, Color A - Dove Dale 385 (purple), Brooklyn Tweed LOFT, Color B - Postcard (light pink), Color D - Stormcloud (medium gray), Noro Silk Garden 4 Ply, Color C - 373 (self-striping blues/purples). Other listed yarns are suggested alterntives.
