Product Details
The idea for this pattern was sparked by beach combing along the Bristol Channel. Razor clams along this part of the coast are known as mermaid combs. It uses a Shetland Stitch pattern as it's base with a firm border. It is knitted as a straight piece and this allows you the knitter to finish it in several ways. It can be left as a straight scarf. Joined as an infinity scarf to twisted and then joined as a mobius infinity scarf. The yarn requirement are for an infinity scarf that will loop round three times.
it is knitted in a lace weight yarn using 4mm needles but the pattern would work in yarn weights up to double knitting.
