This cowl can be worn pulled up over one’s ears or folded up around one’s neck, while the lower edge flares out over the shoulders.
Or work a shorter turtleneck, then continue the flare for a poncho. Combine the two for a Cowl/Poncho Combo – a “Concho”!
Finish the lower edge with an I-cord border, or add some panache with a "fur" edging.
Since it is worked top-down, you determine the length.
