Texture and rustic yarn - what more can I say?
This fitted beanie features ribs that play off each other and lead into the main texture. A simple gathered crown in reverse stockinette adds a final element to the layers here, while keeping things simple. The design is easily modified for depth or width, and the motif is a simple one - both charted and written. You could whip out 3 or 4 of these in plenty of time for the holidays!
I designed this hat to showcase the lovely Verb for Keeping Warm, Pioneer yarn. I paired my Pioneer, in Tempranillo, with this motif, featuring both positive and negative spaces that made the quality of the 100% organic wool just pop! The Pioneer looks great in the whole thing. It's round and soft with the right amount of give for an everyday hat.
