The sweater is a loose fitting, drop-shoulder garment with several large cables on a seed stitch background. Both back and front are cabled.
The basic garment is simple. One of the 3 cables is also simple. The other 2 cables are more challenging. There are charts for the cables designs but, because of their size, they aren’t written out. The basic pattern for the sweater is written out.
The sweater pictured was knit using a fingering weight of Softball Cotton.
I cast on and started off with the right number of stitches but it wasn't enough for the cables and pattern given. To add to this, the diagram print is so tiny for the pomegranate cable that I can hardly see it and at least one of the cable keys is missing. This was described as an intermediate pattern but with all the adjustments required I would say it should be expert. It is a shame as it would be a lovely jumper but by the end of ten rows of pattern I had lost the will to live
