Product details

These fingerless mitts are a fantastic way to use hand painted, highly variegated, striping, or otherwise persnickety dye jobs to their best potential. It would also make a lovely, subtle accessory with unisex appeal if worked in a solid or tonal yarn. The unique slipped stitch floats zoom up the mitt, breaking up pooling and showing off little pops of gorgeous colour. Twisted rib creates a close fit and draws the eye to the slipped stitch details. I have also included instructions on how to add shaping to these mitts for a more generously proportioned arm.

I strongly suggest using a wool or wool blend yarn that can be easily blocked into shape as the different stitch patterns have varying row gauges and need to be wet-blocked into submission.

Check out page 6 of this .pdf for the pattern on a single, black and white page to print and take on the go! Be sure to check out the photo and shaping tutorials included only the main pattern.
