    About

I followed the pattern exactly but finished at 13 instead of 17 hearts. By 13 hearts it’s pretty large (I’m fairly tall at 5ft 8) and I was happy to cast off there. With 13 hearts it only takes 2 BALLS OF THE MAIN COLOUR instead of the asked for three (nice bonus!)
As I’ve read mentioned in comments the hearts do have little “holes”, but still look great (in my opinion) and the hole is small! I could’ve closed it like some have, but I really think it looks great and is a very easy knit as is.
This was the first Shawl I knitted and is very easy, but took a long(ish) time because of the long garter stitch rows.
This is my first time using Merino Wool and I love it so!!!! <3 <3 It's so springy and soft and lovely! My boyfriend says this shawl looks like it's been coloured in with felt-tip pens and I know what he means- the colours are beautifully varied and bright. I feel lucky the colour Plomo had sold out(!) as I like this shawl better in denim blue.

    Yarns

    • material-yarn
Malabrigo Mechita - English Rose 1 ball
    • material-yarn
Malabrigo Mechita - Unicorno 2.0 balls

    Needles & Hooks

    • Circular 3.50mm (US 4) 100cm

    Measurements

Notes: Mine is a little smaller- I cast off at 13 hearts, just before the start of where the 14th should be and this way it only took 2 balls of main colour. It's still big!! (it also took a while as I was ill a couple of weeks..)
