    About

I bought this yarn and a pattern at a giant fiber festival in New York State (Rhinebeck) in 2015. It sat in the bag until a few months ago when I watched the Knitting Pipeline podcast and saw Paula wearing the Acer cardigan by Amy Christoffers. I just had to knit that sweater for myself. So, I went right to Ravelry and purchased the pattern. Then I went to my closet, found the bag of yarn and guess what pattern I had purchased a paper copy of with the yarn - the Acer cardigan. I guess I really was meant to knit that sweater. I started the sweater and knit the entire front and back ( which are knit in one piece) when I decided that I wasn't doing a technique quite correctly, so, I ripped the entire thing back to the ribbing and started over- whew. I kept at it and finally finished. I LOVE the finished product. There just might be another Acer Cardigan in my future.

    Measurements

Notes: I made size 38. I added an inch-and-a-half to the length of the sweater. Also, I made the sleeves longer than called for. Also, I added an extra button.
I used larger needles than the pattern called for because it called for a worsted weight yarn and the Miss Babs Yowza is closer to a dk weight. I swatched and found that I needed to go up several sizes but it all worked out.
