Adapted Snuggly Snowflake Cardigan

I made this for My grandson who is 6 years old and now completed one for my grand daughter who is coming 8 years

    About

    I love knitting with Snuggly Chunky, but it can look a little boring, so decided to jazz it up a little by adding a coloured border and hoody.

    Yarns

    • material-yarn
      Hayfield Baby Chunk - Multi ✕ 1 ball

    Needles & Hooks

    • Single Point 5.50mm (US 9) 30cm

    Measurements

    Notes: As the coloured chunky I used for most of the rib and hood was finer than the Snuggle I used for the body I used the 5.50 cm needles except for when I used the Snuggle for the rib around the hood then I used 4.40 cm needles. I also added two stiches for every rib cast on, but decreased down to the proper number of stiches on the pattern when I changed to the Snuggly wool.

      Finished the cardigan for my grand daughter, ready to start one for the youngest grandson, they are so quick to knit in chunkywools.

      Thank you this is the second cardigan I have completed in this manner I am knitting one now for my grand daughter in purple through to pink. With the body knit in Snuggly it makes the cardigans like weight yet warm and cuddly.
