    About

This is a happy shawl. Big, bold, cosy. Somehow it brings a smile to your face, and a spring to your step when you wear it. One for those days when you want to answer a big “yes” to the eternal “why” of life.

And there is nothing to make a knitter smile like a beautiful big project that can be completed in just a few days too. This one took me only five days from start to finish.

I designed this one with heavy weight yarns in mind so that even half a repeat works with the border, which is custom designed to work at larger scale than your average lace shawl.

Although this is lace and therefore counts as an advanced knit according to the Loveknitting categories this makes a great first lace shawl as the heavy yarn, big needles and simple lace pattern make it much easier/
