    About

Love fingering weight jumpers that are fitted, feminine, and classically styled. This one fits me beautifully.

    • Double Point 2.75mm (US 2) 15cm
    • Circular 2.75mm (US 2) 100cm

    • Tapestry Needle

    • Stitch Markers

    Measurements

    Notes: 34/36 modified.
This really only took me a little over two weeks but it was put on hold while I worked on other projects which had deadlines.

Modifications: added a couple extra decreases for the waist and a couple more increases for the bust. Have to with an hourglass.

I added a k1 at the beginning and end of every row of the pieces; this makes for a neat selvedge edge - this makes sewing much more pleasant and smooth. I also think like a seamstress so traditional bottom up construction in pieces is just fine with me. Seams also lends a garment structure.

To work the wraps I didn’t move the stitches back and forth between the needles as per the instructions, but put the stitches to be wrapped onto a cable needle and then wrapped the yarn around the stitches 3 times, anti-clockwise, easy-peasy! I’ve used this technique on a cardigan I designed so I knew this shortcut :)

The pattern is easy to follow and clear. Oh, and the ribbing to cable transition works out very nicely,

So very 1940's just love it and you look lovely in it. Would love the neck scarf as well but they aren't available in Australia anymore guess they're not fashionable!
