    About

Hermione’s socks again. I must admit I love this pattern and want to do this with stripes. Will do contrasting toes, heels and cuffs in the Juniper.

Usual rounded toe - co 14 stitches per needle, increasing to 32, 8 rows of plain, then start pattern.
At 7.25 inches, do FLK heel. I haven’t added any extra stitches on the sole this time as the pattern is quite stretchy but I find that it can create a little gap between needles after doing the heel as the stitches stretch so on the second sick I just may add a couple either side to stop this.
Inch of plain after heel: one full patt. rep after heel, start pattern rep all round leg on the 5th one after the heel. Go as long as possible, (16 patterns reps then 2 rows of knit) before boredom sets in, then do 16 rows 2x2 rib for cuff, and cast off loosely.
