    About

I’ve made dozens of things over the years but Alan is one of my all-time favourites. As soon as I saw his pattern in Susie Johns’ thigh-rubbingly wonderful book, I knew that I had to make him.

As you’ve probably guessed from his surname, Alan is made of a tweedy wool (King Cole Country Tweed in 'New Forest' in case you're interested). By day, he runs Knutsford Knick-Knack Nook & Knick-Knack Knowhow but, by night, he writes Nordic noir dramas about a hunky pheasant detective... called Detective Inspector Alan Tweedy! Obviously. You can keep up with the latest adventures of DI Alan Tweedy (and Knutsford Knick-Knack Nook & Knick-Knack Knowhow!) on my Instagram page: https://www.instagram.com/trishlemoose/

How I love your knits, and the photo of Alan and the sheep will make me smile for a very long time, so nice to see him healthy and bright eyed in a field and not by the road side !!

Thanks, Christine! The sheep was never intended to be part of the photo but she was determined to get her moment in the limelight and it seemed like a shame to disappoint her!

I've made this one previously. The book has lovely patterns in it. I love that yours gets to be outdoors!

It's one of my favourite knitted toy books - I just wish I had the time to make everything in it! As for Alan, he's never happier than when he's out for a wander!
