    About

Pennys class are doing a family project based on the book ‘Aliens love Underpants’. She decided on the colour, trims and pom-poms of the knickers I should knit while she and her parents apply themselves to the papier-mâché planet and moon.

    Pattern

    Story Time

    This pattern is from:
    Woman’s Weekly Vintage Knits

    Needles & Hooks

    • Single Point 3.00mm (US 2.5) 25cm

    Accessories

    • Tapestry Needle
Other : Penny wanted fancy; pom-poms from my teeny pom-poms maker, pom-pom trim from Etsy, roses and bow from my stash. I think the aliens will love these underpants and it’s a bit of fun which yarn skills can add to.

    Measurements

Notes: 12cms by 10cms. The original pattern is from 1963 for a knitted dolly and her clothes which was reprinted in 2015 in the Woman’s Weekly and saved by my nieces husbands mother - sadly deceased but her boy gifted her pattern collection to a fellow knitter!
