    About

I came upon some beautiful upcycled clothing while strolling through the web. One site in particular blew my mind mind. I sent a picture of one lovely dress that was mostly crocheted in fine cotton thread to Andrea. I asked her if she would like something like it IF I could make it. Andrea ( who just loves way-out clothing and wears it well ) said she might mlght like a cardigan. I tossed the idea around in my head for a some time and came up with a rough idea of what I'd do. First of all my crocheting ability has been VERY limited over the last 61 years ( I'm 75 ). I can awarkardly crochet little flowers, that you will see on most of my projects. I set out to see what I could knit. I wanted something sparkly to suit Andrea's bubbly personality. I found some crochet cotton online that is sprinkled with sequins and ordered it in various gorgeous colours. When it came i realized I'd have to use it along with solid coloured cotton knit.

A note on this project. I had to be very determined to complete this project as the cotton threads were very slippery, the pattern lacy so TIMES when stitches slipped off it was impossible to pick the back up. Note in last pic the ripped out project . UGH! End of story I completed it and Andrea loves it
