    About

We saw this lovely yarn when shopping and I bought it to make something for my daughter, knowing I would need to find the right stitch to make the fair isle colours stand out. My daughter loves scarves and so I chose a simple cowl, knitted in Sea Foam stitch in these beautiful Seabird colours. The cowl was quick to make and is really soft and light to wear, being a cotton/wool/acrylic mix. I called the pattern (available on LK) Aphroditia, from Aphrodite, the Greek Goddess who rose from the sea.

Hi Karen, thanks for your question. I can confirm that Aphroditia takes 2 x 50 g balls of Sirdar Crofter DK leaving approx. 20g over if worked with average tension, checked on 4mm needles.

Thank you for the lovely comment. Sea Foam stitch works well in plain or random colours and Sirdar Crofter DK is soft and cool. A different DK yarn could be, also, be substituted as tension isn't critical. I hope this helps.

This is beautiful - can it be done in black - or shades of lavender - the yarn would be soft Huh?
