    About

Loved the 'ice cream' colours in the Caron Cakes and thought it would make a nice blanket for in the car or stroller. Found the pattern for Ross's Blanket here and went from there. Made a mistake following the garter stitch border and went to stockinette stitch on side borders so incorporated by alternating garter and stockinette up the sides. At the end added an attached I-cord to balance the stripes. If I had done a solid colour wouldn't have needed it although I find the I-cord helps hold the shape. The Caron Cakes is 80% acrylic and 20% wool . I used 1.5 balls to complete the blanket. Each ball is 7.1 oz. I found it easy to knit with, nice in the hands, and makes for a nice warm and soft blanket. The photo doesn't do justice to the colours which are brighter.
