    About

I wanted something gender neutral, and colourful, with a bit of pattern rather than just plain rib and spent ages looking through patterns before finding this. The bubble pattern is really easy to do and looks good. I've adjusted the pattern slightly, rather than knitting vertical garter stitch for the button bands at the front I picked up and knit along the edge, then added the collar in the same way. I think it works out! I first put this down as beginner level because even the bubble pattern is very simple, but perhaps should be intermediate. I'd say the actual knitting is fairly simple. I did have to look at a you tube video for the bubbles as the pattern instructions are not entirely clear, but it's not complicated and once you find your best way of doing it not tricky at all. As I changed the button bands to pick up and knit I used a different buttonhole technique.
