    About

Two little easy cardigans for my friends twin girls. I've knitted this pattern a few times and can knit a cardigan in and evening as it uses chunky wool on 5.5mm needles. I used the pattern for the hats from the Sirdar snuggly snowflake chunky pattern I posted previously but used the chunky wool I used for the cardigans and knitted bows instead of a flower to go on the hats. You will need 2 balls of each colour for the sweaters and hats.

I love the way you have striped the colours. I have been thinking of knitting this pattern with some left over Aran yarn, but I see you have used Chunky, maybe I would need to knit with 5.0mm needles and a size up on the pattern?

The pattern calls for Chunky wool and uses 5.50mm needles. Sizing up the pattern is the best way to get the size you need. The stripes line up as the garment is knitted from the collar down and you divide when you get to the arms and carry on knitting the body with the sleeve stitches held in holders for completion later. It's a very simple pattern to follow.
