    About

This is the second time I've knitted a bolero from this pattern. I wasn't entirely happy with the first one so I changed a few things this time.

I replaced with rib border with a moss stitch border. I didn't cast off the pieces but kept the stitches on a circular needle until I was ready to knit the border. This saved a lot of picking up stitches and also made the border itself much neater rather than having a join at the back.

Picking up stitches on the curve is the biggest challenge. I'd suggest knitting the ends into the bottom of the fronts and back so you have fewer ends to sew in later.

The instructions are fairly clear, although it would have been better if they'd stated a specific decreasing method and a neater buttonhole method.

I definitely think I'll be knitting more moss stitch borders. It makes a nice change from rib.

It is a lovely pattern and it can be adjusted to be more fancy or less.

My poor grand-daughter is in danger of ending up with a drawer full of these!
