    About

The stash was in control of this project. I had one whole skein of blue (Cascade Heritage 150), a little bit of white and only one lovely solid mother-of-pearl button in my button stash inherited from my Mother's button stash. So it became a pullover. It is my own pattern, topdown, seamless. It is connected in the round at the front just below the short button placket, and one snowflake got a little tricky, but ended up not being too badly deformed. I made side slits in the bottom ribbing.

The fair isle was easy with only two colors. One thing I learned while designing this sweater was an increased respect for designers. I had intended to publish this pattern, but I gave up part way through - it just isn't easy to write down everything accurately. It wasn't too complicated to knit, but it was too complicated (for me) to document.

Thank you, Alison. I've done this snowflake design 3 times now and I finally got the increases right and a correct split for the sleeves.
